Hot Springs at the top of a mountain- sierra la culata
Day 1. Merida, Valle de La Culata, Cascada del Duende.
DAY 2. Duende waterfall, climb and descend the Pico Pan de Azucar (optional), Paramo La Carbonera.
Day3. Paramo La Carbonera, Hot Springs, Merida.
After breakfast, we go on a 4x4 (30 min.) to the foot of National Park Sierra de La Culata. From there we cross the heart of the high Andean paramo of Venezuela, with a combination of evergreen forest, Andean highlands and desert wasteland. It covers the Pico Piedras Blancas, peri glacial lakes, where you are able to observe numerous species of the genus frailejones Espeletia and Coespeletia, Jamesonia fern genera and numerous mosses, liverworts, lichens and fungi, coloradito characteristic tree (Polylepis serisea), alpaca (paca Agoita), jaguar (Panther onca), spectacled bear. We also see the vast and the silent valley of the dead, which has thousands of frailejones flowering in September and December. This area is one of the highest desert plateau areas of the world with giant frailejones, la cascada del Duende, Sugarloaf, Coloraditos forests, lakes and Carbonera Shotgun and we will finally relax with a dip in natural thermal waters from the mountain of Musui, located at a height of 3.000msnm with an ambient temperature of 10 º and sulphated water of 47 °, ideal for encouraging blood circulation, rejuvenate skin and reducing stress.
